When you join the GameChangers founding cohort, we collect: your name, professional email address, geographic location (country, city), professional role category, and the email domain type (government, academic, corporate, or general). For VIP onboarding participants, we additionally collect LinkedIn URL, ORCID identifier, social media handles, and organizational affiliation.
We also collect platform survey responses (7-question product-market fit survey and floating micro-survey responses) to inform product development decisions.
At first submission, your professional credential profile is written to an immutable record called verified_credentials. This record cannot be updated or overwritten — by you or by us — after submission. This is a deliberate architectural choice that creates a timestamped, legally defensible baseline of your credentials at the moment of platform contact. This record is subject to your right to erasure under applicable privacy law (see Section 6).
We use your data to: manage founding cohort capacity per sector and city, send you platform updates and The Briefing newsletter, measure product-market fit for platform development, and detect and prevent fraudulent or bot submissions.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting. We do not share your data with any partner without your explicit consent.
Data is stored in Supabase PostgreSQL with Row Level Security policies. Anonymous users can only INSERT data — they cannot read other users' data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). In Phase 2, production data moves to AWS RDS with AES-256 encryption at rest.
We use localStorage for theme preference persistence (light/dark mode) and session state (survey completion tracking). We use Cloudflare Turnstile for human verification, which may set cookies as part of its verification process. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
CCPA (California): You have the right to request deletion of your personal data from our waitlist and survey records. GDPR (EU): You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@assembleteams.com. Note: the verified_credentials freeze record is retained in an anonymized form to preserve audit trail integrity even after erasure requests.
