What we collect
We collect information you choose to submit. GameChangers reservations collect your name, professional email, and primary sector. Newsletter and publication subscriptions collect your email address. Open Directory submissions may include your name, professional email, profile title, professional role or entity type, summary, sector, industry, world region, country, state/province/city, stage, funding status, funder names you provide, support sought, optional official website and LinkedIn links, and up to three structured services, products or capabilities that you choose to describe. Opportunity submissions for missions, products/projects, and jobs may also include an organization name, location/work mode, original external opportunity URL, closing date or ongoing status, employment type or compensation text where relevant, and a listing-management credential. The management code is shown to the submitter and only a cryptographic hash is retained by Assemble Teams.
Your professional email is used for the purpose attached to the form you submitted and remains private unless a separate public-profile permission applies. Open Directory includes a separate, optional and unchecked choice to receive Mission Intelligence, research, articles and important Assemble Teams / GameChangers updates. Choosing or declining that option does not affect Directory review or publication. We record the applicable Privacy Policy version and consent/notice time for protected intake flows. Public display consent is collected separately before approved Open Directory profile information can be published. Stage, funding, funder, offering and similar claims supplied by a submitter are treated as owner-reported unless Assemble Teams separately verifies them.
Campaign and site context
To understand which outreach brings people to the Directory or GameChangers reservation flow, we may store limited campaign context with a submission: UTM source, medium, campaign and content labels, the landing path, and the referring hostname. We also use privacy-conscious site analytics to understand aggregate page views and a small set of funnel events such as listing CTA use, form progression, successful submissions, Directory filtering and publication opt-ins. We do not send names, email addresses, free-text form responses, offering descriptions or other submitted profile fields as analytics-event properties. Campaign parameters may be processed as part of normal page-view attribution, while submitted profile content remains outside analytics-event properties. These intake and measurement flows do not use cross-site behavioral advertising profiles or device fingerprinting.
How we use information
- Review and moderate directory and opportunity submissions before publication.
- Operate listing correction and removal requests, including verifying the submitting email and management code and processing verified removal requests within the stated service window.
- Publish only approved public-profile fields that the submitter authorized.
- Deliver requested newsletters, Mission Intelligence, research and publication updates and manage subscription preferences.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website and directory.
- Understand acquisition and conversion performance using limited campaign metadata.
- Contact submitters about their submission, moderation status, service changes, or other transactional matters.
Public directory information
Approved public fields may appear in the Open Directory and can be shared by visitors. Private email, reviewer notes, rate-limit identifiers, security signals, and internal moderation data are not public directory fields. Inclusion does not by itself mean Assemble Teams endorses, verifies, partners with, or recommends a listing.
Security and service providers
We use service providers such as Supabase for database infrastructure, Vercel for website hosting and server execution, and Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse protection. Protected Open Directory and GameChangers reservation submissions are mediated by server-side validation and abuse controls before database writes. We also use access controls, row-level security, rate limits, and other safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Advertising
Advertising, when offered, is a separate paid visibility service and does not purchase organic trust, verification, or directory ranking. Sponsored content must be clearly labeled. Additional advertising terms and policies will govern advertiser submissions, complaints, takedowns, billing and refunds before paid advertising is activated.
Your choices and requests
You may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable legal, security, fraud-prevention, recordkeeping, and operational requirements. You may also ask us to stop future Briefing, Mission Intelligence, research, or publication-update messages. For Opportunities Lite listings, use the listing reference, same submission email, and management code through the listing-management flow to request correction or removal. Verified removal requests are targeted for completion within 7 calendar days, while urgent privacy, impersonation, legal, or safety matters may be handled sooner. Other privacy requests may be sent through our contact page.
Retention and changes
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including moderation, security, dispute handling, and legal obligations. We may update this policy as the service evolves; material changes will be dated on this page.
Open Directory Opportunities
Open Directory Opportunities submissions may include an opportunity type, title, organization or mission-owner name, summary, sector, world region, location, work mode, original source URL, closing-date or ongoing status, and optional job or mission/project context. We also collect the submitter name, professional email, authority and source-current attestations, consent records, and limited campaign context used to operate and secure the intake.
After submission we display a Listing Reference and one-time Management Code. We store only a protected cryptographic representation of the management code. The same submission email, Listing Reference and Management Code are used to verify correction or removal requests. Public opportunity records do not include the submitter email, management credential, reviewer notes, rate-limit identifiers or other private moderation data.
Approved opportunity records may remain public until their stated closing date or platform freshness limit. Public removal requests that are successfully verified are processed within 7 calendar days, with safety, privacy, legal, security or impersonation matters eligible for earlier action. Private submission and audit records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, disputes, recordkeeping or legal obligations.
